Matthias Haunholder

A true pioneer, competitor, adventurer and all around talented skier, Matthias Haunholder travels the world searching for the next thrill on skis.

After a number of huge successes at freeride contests, including a first at the Freeride World Tour stop in Tignes and a third in Fieberbrunn, Matthias turned his focus towards mountain adventures. Deeply involved in a number of impressive film projects, he often makes first descents of technical faces. He is the only skier who every skied on the island of Onekotan, the first who climbed and skied the Peak Popeda the highest peak of Siberia. This year’s journey, called “NO MAN’S LAND”, brought him to the Antarctica where he again accomplished and skied summits as the first ever.
